Ticket types Description
Single and return train tickets Choose a single ticket for a 1-way trip.
Choose a return ticket for travel to, and return to the destination on the ticket. Return valid to 4am next day.

Ideal usage: Occasional travel.
Off-peak return train tickets Save up to 30% with off-peak tickets. Available after 9am weekdays and any time weekends, public holidays. Return valid to 4am next day.

Ideal usage: Occasional travel.
7 Day RailPass Unlimited trips between dates and stations indicated on ticket. Tickets purchased after 3pm, valid for 8 days (includes day of purchase). Available from ticket offices and ticket vending machines.

Ideal usage: Very frequent travel.
14 Day RailPass Unlimited trips between dates and stations indicated on ticket. Tickets purchased after 3pm, valid for 15 days (includes day of purchase). Available from ticket offices.

Ideal usage: Very frequent travel.
FlexiPass Unlimited trips from 28 up to 366 consecutive days from day of purchase between stations indicated on ticket. The more days you purchase, the more money you save. Available from ticket offices.

Ideal usage: Long term, frequent travel.
CityHopper Unlimited all day CityRail travel around 11 stations within the city area. They include: Central, Martin Place, Museum, Town Hall, St James, Circular Quay, Kings Cross, Wynyard, Redfern, Milsons Point and North Sydney.
You can buy a CityHopper ticket at any CityRail ticket office or ticket vending machine.
