Sydney Buses Single Fares

If you travel occasionally on Sydney Buses, cash fares are an inexpensive way to make single trips. Tickets are purchased from the driver each time you board the bus (excluding "Prepay Only" bus services) and are available from selected ticket agents and ticket vending machines at Wynyard (Carrington St entrance) and Bondi Junction Interchange.

There are five single ticket prices based on different travel distances. Using the map for the route you are travelling on, count the number of sections you wish to travel in - including the section you start in. Then select the relevant ticket (see table below).

Route maps are inside printed timetables and available to download here. Single Ride tickets are available from Sydney Buses TransitShops and selected authorised Ticket Agents displaying the Sydney Buses ticket stop flag.

Fares are valid from 2 January 2008 and include GST. To calculate the number of sections you are planning to travel, click here.

Ideal usage: occasional travel. Regular travellers save time and money using TravelTens.
