Following are the types of tickets suited to commuter travel for train, bus and ferry services.

Ideal usage: very frequent travel.

SydneyPass

train ticket
Unlimited travel for three, five or seven days within a seven day period on: Sydney Explorer, Bondi Explorers plus All Regular Sydney Buses, Sydney Ferries services and CityRail trains in the Red TravelPass zone. The pass also entitles return transfers on the AirportLink train to the city and discounts at many Sydney attractions

Seven Day Railpass

off-peak ticket

Make as many trips you like between the dates and stations or within the area indicated on the ticket. If purchased after 3pm, RailPasses are valid for that day and a further seven consecutive days. Available from station ticket offices or ticket vending machines.

TravelPass

Unlimited weekly, quarterly and yearly travel on CityRail trains, Sydney Buses and Sydney Ferries throughout designated TravelPass zones. A range of TravelPasses are available from CityRail stations, most newsagents, Sydney Buses sales outlets and Sydney Ferries at Circular Quay and Manly wharves.

Sydney Explorer

Sydney Explorer is your passport to the city sights, offering unlimited travel in air conditioned buses to popular attractions. You can get on and off a Sydney Explorer at any one of 26 stops and at any time along the route during hours of operation. Buses depart from Circular Quay at 18 minute intervals from 8.40am. Last bus departs at 5.22pm. You can also travel on the Blue and White Sydney Buses. If you are in Sydney for a short visit, buy a two day combined Explorer ticket, which includes the Bondi Explorer.

Bondi Explorer

BondiExplorer travels to the popular Eastern harbour and bayside areas. You have unlimited flexibility to get on and off the Bondi Explorer at any one of the 19 stops for the duration of your ticket. Departs from Circular Quay at 30 minute intervals from 9.15am. Last bus departs at 4.15pm. You can also travel on the Blue and White Sydney Buses. If you are in Sydney for a short visit, buy a two day combined Explorer ticket, which includes the Sydney Explorer.

Blue Mountains ExplorerLink

Choose a range of places to visit in the Katoomba and Leura areas. Catch the train to Katoomba and then any number of Explorer buses that operate hourly in a continuous circuit to 27 stops. Alight and rejoin the bus when and where you like.

DayTripper

The DayTripper is an all-in-one day ticket that gives you unlimited travel on CityRail trains within the Sydney surburban area, unlimited travel an all Sydney Buses and unlimited travel on all Sydney Ferries. Single and Return train tickets

CityRail ticket
Single tickets are an inexpensive way to make a single trip to one destination only. With return tickets you can travel from one origin to a destination and return to the same origin. Return trips must be completed before 4am the next day.

Off-peak return train tickets

CityRail ticket
Save up to 40% with CityRail's off-peak tickets. Off-peak return tickets are available after 9am weekdays and at any time on weekends and public holidays. Return trips must be completed before 4am the next day.

Single Bus tickets

Sydney Bus Ticket
If you travel occasionally on Sydney Buses, cash fares are an inexpensive and convenient way to make single trips. Tickets are purchased from the driver each time you board the bus (excluding "Prepay Only" bus services).

Single ferry tickets

Sydney Ferries Ticket
If you travel occasionally on Sydney Ferries, cash fares are an inexpensive and convenient way to make single trips. Tickets are purchased from the ticket office or ticket vending machines at Circular Quay and Manly Wharf or from the ticket seller on board the ferry.

TravelTen

TravelTen ticket
Save money by purchasing this 10 trips ticket. Boarding Sydney Buses is much faster as there is no need to look for the right cash or wait for change. Avoid delays during peak hour travel. Available from Sydney Buses sales outlets, CityRail station booking offices serviced by Sydney Buses and most newsagents displaying the Sydney Buses ticket kiosk flag. There are five TravelTen tickets to choose from based on different travel distances.

FerryTen

FerryTen ticket
FerryTen is a 10 ride ticket for Sydney Ferries services. Save and travel at any time and day until the 10 trips have been taken. The Manly FerryTen is for travel between Manly and Circular Quay and can only be used on the Manly Ferry service. The JetCat Ten is for JetCat travel between Manly and Circular Quay (no concessions available). The Inner Harbour Ten can be used for all ferry services except those to Manly and West of Kissing Point wharf. The Meadowbank FerryTen is for travel to and from Meadowbank. The Parramatta Ten is for travel between Circular Quay and Parramatta.
