Sydney Olympic Park

Car parking has been significantly reduced for this event due to the Race circuit and is expected to be sold out prior to the event.  It is strongly advised to leave the car at home and take public transport.

If you do plan to drive, you must pre-book your parking for this event.

All tickets to the Sydney 500 V8 Supercars at Olympic Park include entry and travel on public transport - to and from Sydney Olympic Park - on CityRail, Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses, regular Sydney Buses, Liverpool to Parramatta T-way buses and Sydney Ferries.

Remember to keep your ticket safe for your return journey home, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport.

Note a station access fee applies for travel from Green Square, Mascot, Domestic and International Airport stations to the City. You will need to purchase a separate ticket.

Getting there

Friday 4 December 2009
Customers should travel to Lidcombe Station and change for the Olympic Park services, departing every 10 minutes from 6am with the last service departing leaving Olympic Park Station at 12.30am the following day.

Saturday 5 December 2009 
Direct services are operating from Blacktown Station to Olympic Park Station every 8-15 minutes from 6am until 12.30am the following day.

Direct services from Central to Olympic Park are operating every 10-15 minutes from 7am until 12.30am the following day.

Additional South Line services are operating between Campbelltown and Central stations from 7am, stopping at all stations from Campbelltown to Granville then Auburn, Lidcombe, Strathfield, Ashfield, Redfern and Central.

Sunday 6 December 2009
Direct services are operating from Blacktown Station to Olympic Park Station every 5-10 minutes from 6am until 9pm.

Direct services from Central to Olympic Park are operating every 10 minutes from 7am until 9pm.

Additional South Line services are operating between Campbelltown and Central stations from 7am, stopping at all stations from Campbelltown to Granville then Auburn, Lidcombe, Strathfield, Ashfield, Redfern and Central.

All Blue Mountains Line services heading to the City are making an additional stop at Lidcombe Station between 7am and 2pm.

Some areas (Illawarra Line, Bankstown Line, Airport & East Hills Line and Northern Line) are also serviced by Sydney Olympic Park major events buses, which provide direct services to and from Sydney Olympic Park.

Getting home

Friday 4 December 2009
Direct services between Central and Olympic Park Station are operating every 10 minutes from 8pm until midnight for customers travelling home after the evening concerts at ANZ Stadium.

Additional South Line services are operating between Central and Campbelltown from 8pm until midnight, stopping at Redfern, Ashfield, Strathfield, Lidcombe, Auburn, Granville and all stations to Campbelltown.

All Blue Mountains Line services are making an additional stop at Lidcombe Station between 8pm and midnight.

Saturday 5 December 2009

Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses are operating on all 12 major event bus routes across Sydney commencing between 5.35am and 6.25am (depending on the route). Bus services will depart Sydney Olympic Park from 2.10pm, with the last service departing at 11.30pm.

Sunday 6 December
Sydney Olympic Park Major Event Buses are operating on all 12 major event bus routes across Sydney starting between 5.35am and 6.25am (depending on the route) and departing at regular intervals. Bus services will depart Sydney Olympic Park from 2.10pm, with the last service departing at 7.30pm.

Scheduled wheelchair accessible buses operate on every route.

Sydney Buses is operating to a regular timetable. Customers attending the Telstra V8 500 will experience delays due to changed conditions on the 401 route due to the course layout.

Sydney Ferries is operating to a regular timetable to and from Sydney Olympic Park. If ferry services reach capacity, please consider train services which regularly depart from Circular Quay station.

Scheduled wheelchair accessible buses will operate on every route.

Sydney Buses
54% of State Transit’s fleet are now wheelchair accessible, and each new bus introduced into the fleet will increase the number of wheelchair accessible buses.  Features of these buses include wide doors, wide aisles and space for two mobility aides such as wheelchairs, some ride-on scooters and prams or strollers.

Sydney Ferries
The entire Sydney Ferries fleet is wheelchair accessible via the 23 wheelchair accessible ferry wharves (pending tidal and safety conditions) For more information please click here.
