The NSW State Government and NSW transport operators are working to make public transport accessible for everyone, including passengers who have a disability, use a wheelchair or mobility device, are elderly or travelling with a pram or luggage.

Easy access options

Access point-to-point travel information using only transport services and stops or stations rated as accessible. Alternatively, call 131 500 - 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Blind and visually impaired persons

Travel free on CityRail, Sydney Buses, Sydney Ferries and Newcastle Buses and Ferries if you hold a vision impaired person’s pass.

Companion Card

Companion Card

The new Companion Card entitles NSW and interstate residents (from participating states) with significant and lifelong disabilities to bring an attendant with them on public transport free of charge.

Assistance animals

Guide dogs and registered assistance animals are permitted on public transport services at all times.
