Public transport customers
should take care and travel with a water bottle during today's extreme heat.
If you feel unwell, don't board the train, bus or ferry. Ask a member of staff
for help. If you are on a train and feel unwell, get off at the next station
where you can get help from staff.
TRAINS
Trains across the CityRail network are delayed up to
60 minutes due to overhead wiring and signal problems and the extreme heat. Frequent
services are operating but they are not to timetable so passengers are advised
to allow additional travel time, listen to station announcements and check
indicator boards. Train tickets can also be used to catch Sydney Buses and
Sydney Ferries services instead until 8pm. Buses are supplementing some trains
between Campbelltown and Moss Vale on the Southern Highlands Line after an
earlier bushfire at Glenlee. Buses will be replacing trains between Wyong and
Fassifern on the Newcastle & Central Coast Line until early Saturday due to
urgent overhead wiring repairs at Dora
Creek. Buses are also
supplementing some trains between Kiama and Bomaderry (Nowra) on the South
Coast Line due to the delays.
