Quiet carriages trialled between Central and Newcastle stations

Commencing 13 February, CityRail will be running a three-month quiet carriages trial on selected services between Central and Newcastle stations.
During the trial, customers will be able to enjoy a more peaceful journey. The first and last carriage of six and eight-car trains and the last carriage of four-car trains will be designated quiet carriages.
Quiet carriages are customer regulated and rely on the cooperation of all passengers.
Staff will be making announcements and customer information is available at some stations.
