Summer holiday transport arrangements

Trains, buses and ferries run to different timetables over the holiday period. It is important to check the details of your trip by searching the Timetables or using the Trip Planner before you travel.
To ensure you always have the latest transport information at your fingertips - including Summer Timetables - download the Transport Info App from the App Store (iPhone/iPad) or Google Play (Android).
Light Rail will continue to operate normal day services every 15 minutes and evening services every 30 minutes throughout the holiday period. Check for details of changed last services below.
Sydney Ferries run to different timetables from 15 December until 28 January.
Timetables return to normal from 29 January 2013.
Other notable service changes:
2 to 25 January:
- CityRail: minor timetable changes to Blue Mountains and Western Lines from today. See, Timetable changes to Blue Mountains and Western lines from 2 January for more information.
- Hillsbus: reduced peak services 2 to 4 January.
- Sydney Fast Ferry: reduced services 2 to 4 January.
- Huntleys Point Wharf closed for upgrade from 7 January.
- Light Rail: last service from Central, 11:00pm; last service from Lilyfield, 11:20pm on 2 January.
26 January:
- Trains operate to a Saturday timetable with extra services.
- Sydney Fast Ferry: no service.
- Huntleys Point Wharf closed for upgrade from 7 January.
- Light Rail: last service from Central, 12:10am (27/01/2013); last service from Lilyfield, 12:30am (27/01/2013). Note: Special event ticket fares apply. MyMulti and PET tickets still accepted.
27 January:
- Trains operate to a Sunday timetable.
- Sydney Fast Ferry: no service.
- Eastern Suburbs Ferry: no service.
- Huntleys Point Wharf closed for upgrade from 7 January.
28 January:
- Trains operate to a Sunday timetable.
- Buses operate to a Sunday timetable.
- Sydney Fast Ferry: no service.
- Light Rail: last service from Central, 11pm; last service from Lilyfield, 11:20pm. Trackwork will affect some lines.
- Monorail will operate 8am to 10pm.
