PrePayOn Sydney Buses PrePay-only bus routes and at designated PrePay-only bus stops, tickets are not sold on board the bus. Customers must buy a ticket before they board a Sydney Buses service, either a MyBus, a MyMulti, Pensioner Excursion or other pre-purchased ticket according to the distance/area of travel.

Sydney Buses PrePay-only Routes

The following bus routes are PrePay-only at all times:

 

  • 204, 205, 210, 272, 293, 297, 333, 410, 448, 891, 895
  • E65, E70, E83, E86, E87, E88, E89
  • L09, L23, L24, L28, L38, L39
  • M10, M20, M30, M40, M50
  • X00, X04, X06, X09, X10, X18, X39, X73, X74, X77, X84, X89, X92, X94, X96, X97, X99

PrePay-only Bus Stops and Interchanges

Bus stops in the following areas are PrePay-only between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday. To assist you in working out your fare from these destinations, please refer to the PrePay destination and fare guides in the section below.

  • Broadway, Glebe Point Rd, Parramatta Rd, Norton St, City Rd, King Street and Enmore Rd
  • Chatswood Interchange, (West side) Victoria Ave
  • Epping Interchange (East side) - Cambridge Street
  • Flinders St between Taylor Square to South Dowling Street and Anzac Parade between Flinders Street and Maroubra Junction, Maroubra Rd near Anzac Parade
  • Military Road - Spit Junction between Neutral Bay and Spit Bridge, Spofforth St near Military Rd
  • Oxford Street between College St in Darlinghurst and Bondi Junction, Bondi Junction Interchange, Bronte Road near Bondi Junction
  • Parramatta Interchange, Stands A2, A3 and B2 on Argyle Street
  • Randwick Junction, Belmore Rd between Alison Rd and High St
  • Rockdale Interchange – Geeves Ave, Railway St, Princes Hwy nr Bay St
  • Sydney CBD - Clarence, York, George, Pitt, Elizabeth, Castlereagh, Macquarie, Spring, Gresham, Park, Hay and Liverpool Streets and Eddy Ave.  See the destination and fare guide below for boundaries.
