There are many tickets available in Newcastle to suit everybody's travel patterns including time based fares, TravelPasses, single ferry and MyMulti tickets. Private bus services only accept MyBus or MyMulti tickets.

Newcastle Timed Fares

Newcastle Buses & Ferries' bus fares operate around a simple time based system that allows unlimited travel and transfers between Newcastle Buses and Ferries bus services for the period of time paid for. Should your ticket expire while the trip is underway, the ticket remains valid until you alight from the bus, provided you do not transfer services. If you board a bus after the time period has expired, a series of beeps from the ticket machine will indicate your ticket has expired. To continue your journey, another ticket will need to be purchased.
